Pianist/Conductor, Marvin Wolfthal, will lead rehearsals and explore the great chamber literature including music by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, R. Strauss, and contemporary composers. There will also be an opportunities for students and faculty to perform solos and to try out new repertoire and arrangements. This summer, we are fortunate to have violin virtuoso and Boston Symphony Orchestra member, Victor Romanul, perform with the orchestra. Working side-by-side Victor, will be a great learning opportunity for everyone. The string chamber orchestra will convene daily for 2-3 hours until the concert date, half way through the program. The rehearsals will culminate in at least one concert in the conservatory, open to the public.
