Though the natural and cultural beauty of Italy is inspiring and alluring, ASMI is a serious institute with a focus on work and improvement. Please schedule any sightseeing trips either before or after the festival. There will be at least one day off, with an excursion and other fun activities offered. The institute will require your full focus and commitment, and the schedule is full, with a rich offering of musical activities throughout the day. It is encouraged and recommended to practice during free time. Students are expected to prepare their repertoire well in advance of attending the institute, so that rehearsals and coachings are efficient, fruitful, and respectful of everyone’s time.
